Come on! We’re all thinking it. These two-dimensional cartoon characters gave us the feels as kids. Maybe it was a little weird, but we have the animators to blame. Just look at Betty Boop!

Today at The Guy Bible, we’re taking a trip down memory lane and having a look at the most attractive cartoon characters from American TV, who we secretly had a crush on in our childhood, adolescence or even adulthood.

Lola Bunny

Where from: Space Jam & The Looney Tunes

The short-shorts wearing bunny first appeared in the 1996 film, Space Jam, before becoming a mainstay in the cartoon series, The Looney Tunes. She was the Tune Squad’s MVP, which is just a testament to Lola’s athleticism and fitness. A fact that is only heightened by her hourglass shape. On the court, she’s cute, flirtatious and has a witty sense of humour – much like her other half, Bugs Bunny. Space Jam 2 is set to hit cinemas later this year; however, controversy has already struck regarding her new makeover.

April O’Neil

Where from: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The fact that she was played by Megan Fox in the 2014 live-action movie tells you all that you need to know. An intelligent, hard-working journalist, who is tired of getting slack from her boss. I know we can all relate to that. But her attractiveness lies in her charm, courage and character. Or maybe it was the low-cut yellow jumpsuit.

Jessica Rabbit

Where from: Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Jessica Rabbit is the most alluring character in cartoon history. Fact. The Marilyn Monroe-esque character stole young hearts during her mesmerising appearance in the 1988 film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Since then, she has been voted the sexiest animated character according to a Cadbury Dairy Milk study.  Here’s a fun fact: the animators made her bunnies defy gravity to give her more of an otherworldly quality. Well, safe to say that it’s worked. Over twenty years on and I’m still thinking (or should I say writing) about her.

Daphne Blake

Dapne Blake

Where from: The Scooby-Doo series

Wearing a green neckerchief and purple dress, Daphne Blake was the archetypal, popular girl, who we all had a crush on in high school. But what was she was doing in the eclectic Mystery Inc. gang with a lisp-talking dog, a stoner and a brainiac? I guess that’s just a testament to Fred’s pulling power. All jokes aside, her role in the show was somewhat questionable. She was clumsy and always managed to get herself kidnapped before taking up an independent role in later seasons. Regardless of what you think though, her presence left an imprint on us all.

Turanga Leela

Where from: Futurama

Yeah, she has one eye. So what? She also has charming humour, she’s a wicked warrior and leader of an intergalactic space crew. I’d fall head over heels too if I was Fry. This is even more true when she transforms into Clobberalla – her superhero variant. It’s no wonder that she’s been replicated over a thousand times via erotica fan art. Whether this a good or bad thing is yet to be decided, however. I know it’s just a cartoon, but I really did feel for Fry after Leela’s fling with Captain Zapp Brannigan.

Lois Griffin

Where from: Family Guy

If we can just get past her whiny voice, then Lois Griffin is easily a solid pick. She’s what some would describe as a ‘yummy mummy.’ Unfortunately, we can’t say the same about her daughter, Meg. Being married to Peter Griffin, her patient is commendable. She’s caring, loving and compassionate. Plus when your husband’s pet dog, best friend and neighbour all want in on the action, then you know you’re doing something right. By the way, she also featured in a porn movie. Need I say more?

Mrs. Incredible

Where from: The Incredibles

Now hear me out on this one. There’s something inherently attractive about a flexible woman. Introduced to us in the 2004 film, The Incredibles, Elastigirl is part of a superhero family that try to hide their powers from the rest of the world. Her inch-perfect bob haircut, witty humour and strong-willed persona instantly make her a hit. Who knows though, maybe it’s just the masquerade mask. Or maybe it’s because she is ‘thicc.’

Wonder Woman

Where from: DC Universe

Now, it was a toss-up between Wonder Woman and Catwoman but I think that I made the right decision. According to the story, Wonder Woman was gifted ‘great beauty and a loving heart,’ by the goddess, Aphrodite, who represents these qualities in Greek mythology. She’s fierce and bold but has a lot of charisma. The Amazonian princess is dressed in a golden tiara with a coordinating belt, then has a shimmering red bustier that accentuates her feminine figure. I will even argue that she’s the hottest woman in superherodom. She could tie me up with that lasso any day.

Sara Bellum

Where from: The Powerpuff Girls

Another redhead? I’m sensing a theme here. Sara Bellum sent our infantile imaginations running wild as we could only see her from the shoulders down. Her throaty yet enchanting voice, which was played by Jennifer Martin, also contributed hugely towards this. It wasn’t until the 2008 episode, The Powerpuff Girls Rule!!!, where she finally revealed her face and confirmed to me what I already knew. Ms. Bellum, also known as Sweet Cheeks, was the personal secretary to The Mayor of Townsville but practically ran operations since he was so dim. Beauty and brains.
